Bikini Berlin

The „Zentrum am Zoo“ designey by Schwebes and Schoszberger on the Breitscheidplatz in downtown West-Berlin in 1957 was nicknamed the „Bikini-Haus“.

It has undergone an extensive renovation and is now called the „Bikini Berlin“ shopping center. The renovation was designed by the Belgian designer Arne Quinze, with Hild und K architects from Munich. The facades and all interiors have been heavily re-worked. The neighboring „Kleines Hochhaus“ has been turned into a hotel.
